1. Administrative details
The Rotary Club of Chippenham Trust Fund (*the Fund’) is a C harity registered with The Charity Commission under number 1127775
The registered address is Rotary Hall, Station Hill, Chippenham, Wiltshire
The trustees on the date of this report were Michael Stone, Henry Miles and Keith Surry
Other organisations relevant to the Club are:

2. Structure and Governance
The Fund is an unincorporated association, its governing document being a Trust Deed dated 19 March 2007.
The trustees are appointed by the members of the Club.
All trustees give their time voluntarily and received no remuneration or other benefits.
3. Financial Policy
It is the Trustees” policy to hold only a small reserve balance for emergency situations.
4 Objectives
The Objectives of the Fund are to apply both the capital and income for general charitable purposes, with consideration for the general objects of Rotary, as the club shall from time to time direct. The Club keeps in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when considering which causes to support.
5 Achievements in the Year
As the Accounts reveal, income for the year totalled £31,132 and after meeting direct expenses of £11,832, led to a surplus of £19,300. During the year £23,179 was paid over as Donations to good causes, leading to an excess of expenditure over income of £3,879.

Independent Examiners’ Report on the Accounts
I report to the trustees on my examination of the Accounts for the year ended 30 June 2023.
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the Accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011. (“the Act”)
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s Accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: e Accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act; or
- e the Accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the Accounts to be reached.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Accounting convention
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards, the Statement of Recognised Practice on Accounting and Reporting by Charities, the Charities Act 2011 and under the historical cost convention.
Incoming resources
Incoming resources are reported gross.
Donations
Donations are accounted for when the funds are received and paid.
Costs of fundraising
The costs of organising each of the fundraising events are reflected as Expenses alongside the Income received for each event on an event by event basis.
Unrestricted funds
Other than the small residue from a Well boring project, there are no restrictions on the use of funds held at the Balance Sheet date.
Fund raising events are sometimes designated to a specific charity as well as to Rotary charitable funds in general, but those funds are paid over promptly.
