Parochial Church Council of Thundersley Treasurerfs Report for the year ended 31" December 2023. These have been examlned by the PCC appointed Independent Examiner, Mr Graham Dorrington, and his report is attached herewlth. Due to our turnover, under the Charltles ACL these accounts are able to be formulated on a Receipts and Payments basis. The General Fund deals With the running of both churches and both church halls and the Parish office. 2023 has seen a contlnued steady recovery from the effects of the Pandeml¢. St Peterfs have seen an approximate 20% increase in new people attending services. Our halls are fully open. Some small group users have been unable to contlnue hlrlng the halls due to falling members, probably due to the Cost of Llvln8 Issues that everyone is facin8. Fuel bills continue to tske up a large proportion of expendlture. Heatln& lightln& insuring and malntalnln8 our 2 churches, both halls, the Parish Office, John Pond Room and St Mlchael's Community Room are a major part of our expenditure as shown In the enclosed General Fund Income & Expendlture figures. The Parlsh Share sum requested was £ 81775 we managed to pay a totsl of £65000.00 towards thls bein& 79.48 % of the sum requested and £lO,OCMJ more than wa5 pald last year.
