I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **DD / MM / YYYY** 31 / 03 / 2021 . 

**Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or 

the accounts do not accord with the accounting records 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or services<br>identified in the accounts.|Para 1.17 and<br>1.19|**Purpose**<br>Al Anwar Al Najafia – UK has offices based<br>in and around the conurbation of<br>Manchester.<br>It is a grant-making and poverty relief<br>organisation which has been using social<br>action as an experience-based mechanism<br>to develop the leadership, communication<br>and other interpersonal capacities of its<br>participants, who come from deprived and<br>marginalised communities.<br>We are in the process of finding a more<br>permanent location and an office space and<br>to help setup a foodbank.|





||**Grants**<br>We issue grants in cash and in kind to help<br>those who have a specific health, or social<br>needs.<br>We grew our activities and income from<br>previous years through recruitment of new<br>and more active volunteers.<br>We spent the large majority of these<br>donations for the purposes of issuing grants.<br>No Trustee or volunteer took any salary<br>except for the reimbursing for personal<br>expenses<br>**Major risks and mitigations**<br>The charity chairman had been seriously<br>unwell for a few years now.<br>Last year, two new Trustees joined the<br>charity and worked hard to restore much of<br>the charity’s operations and plans.<br>We forged links with several other local and<br>national charities to offer us resilience,<br>expertise and continuity in being able to<br>sustain our operations despite major<br>disruptions.<br>We have plans to recruit a paid employee<br>who will take care of the daily operations of<br>the charity.<br>With the help of professional accountants<br>and experts in charity law we have been<br>working on strengthening our compliance<br>process, as well as controls. Within the<br>organisation.<br>The charity income increased over two-fold<br>from the previous year. This was primarily<br>due to the energy of the new trustees who<br>restored confidence in the organisation.<br>Statement confirming<br>whether the trustees have<br>had regard to the guidance<br>issued by the Charity<br>Commission on public<br>benefit<br>Para 1.18<br>The Trustees have worked hard to put<br>together the reports and accounts for the<br>year to ensure we are compliant and are<br>committed to their responsibilities.
