The Trustees present their annual report together with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended December 31 2025.

REPORTING FRAMEWORK

The financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Memorandum and Articles of Association, and Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS102) (effective 1 January 2019), referred to as the Charities SORP (FRS 102) (second edition – October 2019). Mission

Health and well-being

Our aim is to promote Health and well-being and improve local people's participation in Healthy lifestyle activities Activities through informal education and support.

We promote social inclusion and community cohesion and support local communities those facing barriers due to age, health, language, disability etc. Education training and volunteering

We develop and enhance the skills of local communities through lifelong learning, education and training provisions for everyone - promoting confidence in learning skills.

We work very closely with local communities, statutory and voluntary agencies to promote safety, Health Information and guidance

We provide health information through our Community Health Information Shop in different languages. Achievements and performance Charity is confident and proud in meeting all objectives set. Financial review

Financial position of the organisation is stable and strong. All objectives are being met on target and according to set budgets. All projects were delivered in accordance with funding and grants conditions.

The Charity is intending to increase its fund-raising activities to expand activities and services to local communities. Charity is exploring funding avenues to develop staffing by core funding. The Charity has also continuously updated its financial management and all other policies and procedures and monitors its functions during Board meetings.

Statement of trustee's responsibilities The trustees are responsible for

preparing the trustee's annual report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom generally accepted accounting practice. Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently. Observe the methods and principles in the charities SORP.

State whether applicable UK accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements; and Prepare financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charitable company will continue in operation.

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charitable company. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charitable company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

MULTICULTURAL RESOURCE CENTRE

Projects:

1. Culturally appropriate fund innovation

The project was delivered by our freelance session worker and therapist.

We have consulted 3 organisations to deliver Mental Health awareness sessions to their members in Oldham. After the sessions South Asian Men’s group in Oldham which was developed as Creative writing and Mental Wellbeing group). Poetry was used as a medium to raise awareness. The creative arts for a large part of the South Asian culture and a positive way of attracting attention to the otherwise taboo topic of mental health. The project was delivered in Rochdale Oldham and Greater Manchester.

More funding was secured in 2023 to continue the project. This year it will be in Rochdale and GM.

The project will complete in 2025/26.

2. Language of my Heart

Interviews were conducted with a group of elders from the first generation by young volunteers to identify the main feature of the literary heritage they brought with them from India, Pakistan, and East Africa. This will be explained to the second and the third generations of the British Gujarati and Memon community through English because their knowledge of Gujarati and Memon language is limited.

A group of young people were involved in the field work. There will be workshops to develop their skills of preparing questionnaires, recording interview and collecting data. We will undertake this to study the literary heritage of the first generation of Guajarati and Memon migrant settled in the 1960s. This heritage will be documented in the form of a bilingual (Gujarati-English languages) book. The book will

include samples of the Gujarati poetry and Memon folk songs.( literary archive materials) The project also identified the 1st generation role models within the community.

We collected 20 stories, print one booklet, one launch event, three musical events and three poetry events in Manchester, Bolton and Oldham.

3. LCVS Grant

The project was to work with Autistic children and their carers.

4. NHS Peer Support Worker

Two volunteers were offered free place to do the course by NHS. It was 8 weeks course and volunteers found very informative.

5. Sports England Grant Active Women.

The project is for South Asian Women, who are carers of Autistic children and people with dementia. it will be the first time for them to take part in exercise sessions. We will deliver a weekly sessions for one group and exercise for other group In Community Centre, Oldham. In addition, we will deliver sessions on wellbeing topics including mental health, nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, and the importance of regular exercise. The workshops will be delivered by session workers, with topics chosen as a result of group’s ideas and consultation.

Project will end in 2026

6. Mental Health Online Course

Project worked with 25 people to complete the online course. Our trained volunteer and treasurer provided full support. Before the course they were given full detailed information about the course. After the course we asked feedback and made short evaluation form for participants to fill.

7. NHS Vaccine Grant

The grant was used to deliver 7 months activities by session workers and volunteers to raise awareness of vaccine and covid vaccine including Annual Health Check.

8. Volunteers Training

The training is available every month for volunteers.

9. Support and Hope

We delivered arts workshops and three awareness sessions to the local community groups. The awareness sessions were attended by 53 people.

The workshops attended by 21 children and adults with autism and learning disabilities.

We produced pull up banners which are in local community centre where carers and children meet twice a month.

We have also made linked with local Autism project and now 14 carers all women have developed group called Power of Autism. The project will end in 2026.

1. The Charity Service funding Reducing Social Isolation

Project is to reduce social isolation by providing safe and nonthreatening environment to carers.

We aim to create a comprehensive support project for carers of the children on the autism spectrum. Our initiative will involve organising 40 weekly sessions and Autism Café in Town which is manage by Autistic young man. Our treasurer along with engaging volunteers to support the following activities: -

Project is a community-led initiative dedicated to reducing social isolation among South Asian women by fostering meaningful connections, cultural belonging, and emotional well-being. Formation of a carers lived experience support group to provide a safe space for sharing experiences and resources. - Sessions will include Language Skills: Enhancing English language proficiency for daily interactions. Cultural Integration: Understanding and adapting to British culture and societal norms. Emotional Wellbeing: Building resilience and managing stress and trauma. Social Skills: Improving communication and interpersonal relationships. Financial Literacy: Managing personal finances and budgeting. Health and Wellness: Accessing healthcare services and

maintaining physical and mental health. Community Engagement: Connecting with local resources and support networks. Other activities will de designed after consultation during launch event and in first two sessions. We are aiming to provide some arts and crafts activities like knitting, painting, poetry etc. Project will end in 2026

11 Stagecoach grant

At the local Community Centre, we developed this project with our existing older people’s group which was developed last year.. A Dementia Session Worker provided dedicated support to people with Dementia, carers and families within Oldham.

The people will benefit from 2-3 hours a week of dedicated support for 12 months.

12 Henry Smith Grant

The trip to Blue Planet Aquarium took place as planned. Our volunteers worked with children in a range of enjoyable and enriching activities designed to provide both fun and learning opportunities. The activities included, walks, team-building exercises, explaining different fishes information, and carers information sheets.

Throughout the trip, the children were able to experience new surroundings away from their usual routines. They enjoyed recreational time with their peers, shared meals together. This trip benefited in many ways. The children and carers built strong friendships, improved their communication skills, and developed greater independence. They were shown by their body language that they were happy.

13 Asura G M Health and Wellbeing

The project will be delivered in Oldham at two locations, Dementia Information Shop and Primrose Centre. The beneficiaries will be from across the borough of Oldham by two session workers and 4 volunteers.

Our project aims to improve the health and wellbeing of unpaid carers, recognising the unique challenges they face due to systemic inequalities, cultural barriers, and caring responsibilities. The project will provide a holistic approach, activities designed to address both mental and physical health needs while fostering social inclusion and resilience.

Independent examiner's statement

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the company as required by section 386 of the 2006 Act; or

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view’ which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or

4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102).

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
