TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT

FROM 01/04/2020 TO 31/03/2021

GREAT WITCHINGHAM VILLAGE HALL

REG NO: 1127736

Great Witchingham Village Hall, Hubbards Loke, Norwich NR9 5AZ

TRUSTEES Mrs Sandra Sanders

Mrs Christine Self

Mr Lawrence Swann

We provide a safe and pleasant environment for people to use for the leisure activities whether it is dancing, bingo or discussing a book read by the bookclub.

This year has been extremely challenging with the covid outbreak and the lockdowns and measures put into place to try to prevent the spread of the pandemic.

All activities have been stopped during the lockdowns and we have relied on the Government Grant to pay our costs during this period as no income was coming in. Which we appreciate greatly.

As and when they were able to return some have started in some degree but with legislation in place for only certain types of activities allowed in confined space this is still on going and indeed many are reluctant to return at this time. We put into place the social distancing regulations with floor and wall stickers and notices to help users know what is expected of them. Hand sanitizer was and still is in abundance around the premises and extra sanitization of furniture was put into place where appropriate so adhering to all Covid regulations set out in law by the government.

The hall was maintained as normal during this period with equipment checks and fire checks on equipment carried out as normal. I would also like to thank our cleaner who worked very hard and diligently during this very difficult time.

We look forward to welcoming back many more regular users of the hall and indeed look forward to promoting the hall again for new groups and users. I know our regulars at the coffee morning are eager to get back to their Tuesday morning natter.
