StructureTr govomance and management
Woirall C(xnmunty Asswation is a company limrted by guarantee and a registered charity. As such. the directors. as
defined in the Memorandum and Arbdes ofA5soQati￿. act as both th8 directors ofthe cotnpany and the trustees of Ihe
charity.
Overall managernent of the compafty is th8 responsibjlrty of the trustees who a￿ eleLled and coopted uryjer the
memorandurn and articles of association. Day to day prcpd activty caFried out by volunteer5.
Charitable objeGts
To further or benefit the residents of Worrall and Ihe neighbwrtvxwj, writhout distinction of sex, sexual orientation. race or of
political, religious or other opinion5 by a5SOCi8ting toyether the sakl residents and local authorrties, voluntsry and other
organisations in a comrnon effort to advan￿ education an(1 to provwje farilths in the Inte￿Sts of 50aal welfare foi
creation leisure time occupation with the obJeth"ve of improving the cotvjib.ons of life ts Ihe te51dents and to establtsh or
secure the establishment of a Community Centre (Wortall lknorial Halll and to maintsin and manage the same in
furth8rance of these objects.
Induded in the above ots'ects is the responsibility of the Charity to sur4)ort. maintain. improve, innovate in, and commit to
the use of the Hall and any other premises owned oroccupie(I by the Charity.
Achievement and performance
The past year ha5 been another successful bme for WoFTall Community Assoualxjn Limited.
The Memorial Hall has continued to be well used for a wide range of activthes such as parties, user groups and larger
events run by the Community Assooab"on.
Sa(Jly, the Director5 decide(1 that this yearwouky be the last Bonfire and Firewt)ths event held at the Hall as the
oiganisation and admin15tration required to prowide Ihe event had become too onerous. H¢)wever, the very popular Gala
and Festival continues to run and attracted a large aLKlienTr in September.
Other events in the year indu(led a Makers Market. Plant Sa￿ ar*J Dog Show. VE Day ￿lebratiOn, Annual Quiz and a
Wine T8sling evening.
Income generated from some of these events was onr* again donated to loG31 charities seven donations being tnad8.
OnTr again the D1￿clOr5 would like to express ￿1r thanks and APp￿￿a￿0n for those who helped to (￿gan￿e and the
many activitie5 which take plaTr at the Hall.
In terms of Maintenan￿ and improvements to the Hall there was major expe[￿lture in the year on extsm31 wall rendering,
car park fencing, tree rernoval. benches and solar panel repair5. In athlil#)n. rew Chiklren's play equipment wa5 purchased
through a kind donation frorn Coumes Spring Nursery.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The Gharity's trustee5 (who are also the directors of the (x)mpany for ihe purposes of company lawl are
responsible foi the preparation of the accounts. The chartvs trustees consider that an audit Is not required for
this year under section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is
needed.
Having satisfied tnyself that the char*ty is not subject lo audit under company law and is eligible for independent
xaminalion, it is my responsibility to..

My examination was carried out in accordance vrith the general Direcbons given by thè Charity Commission. An
examination indudes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts

accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees Con￿mIng any such matters. The procedures
undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit. and consequently no opinion is

in the statement below.
