Inveslmenl income is included in the accounts when receivable and any gains or
losses on revaluation al the year end are shown in the SOFA.
xlv Debtor8 and Cr•ditors; Bank and Cash
Debtors are stated al the amounts owed to the Church or prepaid. Creditors are
initially recognised al setllem8nt amount after any trade discounts, where nomial
credit lem)s apply.
Subsequently creditors that are current liabilities are measured at the cash or
other consideration expected to be paid. The liquid funds of bank balances and
deposit account balances are shown at the realisable values.
XV Changes in Accounting Policies
The basis for accounting for Tangible fixed assets has been changed based on
the recommendation of the Independent Examiner. Over the years Tangible fixed
assets have been accounted for in the accounts on Insurance Replac&menl
value. No depreciation was allowed for. The Independent Examiner
recommended that depreciation should be applied lo the cost of Tangible fixed.
assets in the accounts.
The Church Council al their meeting on 17 October 2019 agreed to adopt the
Independent Examiner's recommendation to provide for depreciation in the
accounts for Tangible fixed asset.
Tangible fixed as56ts are depreciated at rates calculated to writ8 off the cost or
valuation less their residual values over their useful lives.
Tangible fixed assets are depreciated at 20% on straight line basis.
