## **MOUNT CHURCH ACTIVITY REPORT** # **- 1[st] January 2020 31[st] March 2021** ## **ACTIVITIES** ## **Annual General Meeting.** The Annual General Meeting of the Church was held on the 9[th] February 2020. The Financial Review of 2019 and the Report of 2019 was presented to the AGM. Church Council met on 21[st] March 2020 and decided to suspend all church gatherings for further notice due to Covid 19 restrictions and this did impact many of the activities planned by the church. However, Mount church managed to continue with many of the activities virtually through Facebook and Zoom. ## **An Hour with God- An Evening Special Session** At the beginning of the pandemic Mount Church held a daily session lasting 1 hour (8pm-9pm) from 25[th] March 2021 for 50 days. The initial plan was to hold this for 21 days, however, further to the requests made both by members of church and public, this was extended and was a relief and blessing for many people. ## **English Worship.** We conduct an English worship service every Sunday from 4.30 PM to 6.00 PM via Facebook, which is mainly focussing on our younger generation and the local English community. ## **Sunday School** Sunday school is conducted via Zoom on every Saturday from 4.30pm till 6pm. Classrooms are allocated virtually, and this is led by teachers who are members of Mount Church Bristol. ## **Youth Group** The youth group meets every second and third Friday of the month from 6pm till 7.30pm via zoom. This is led by youth Pastor and the focus is mainly on young children above the age of secondary school. In addition to this, there is MCB girls fellowship and MCB boys fellowship running via zoom every Wednesday at 6pm and every Thursday at 8.15pm respectively. ## **Sisters Meeting** The ladies of our church gather via zoom once in a week to pray, and these meetings are under the leadership of one of the sisters in our church which keeps rotating every year. ## **Intercessory Prayer and Bible Study** Every Saturday we gather at 6.00 p.m. via Zoom. The first weekend of every month is dedicated for 3-day fasting prayer and during these meetings we invite other ministers to speak. _The Mount Church, Bristol is a registered charity in UK. BS34 7HE.** www.mountchurchbristol.org, **email:** eternallifeinjesus@gmail.com **Tel.:00441179692150/00447861311504** ## **The Mount Church, Bristol, UK.** ## **Charity and Mission Support in 2020** In 2020, the church supported the below four missions as part of the support for missions in India. £600 each were allocated to these missions. - (1) Mahananda Fellowship, Mumbai, India - (2) Prem Dhara (U.P – North India) - (3) CAFI (Christian Action for India) - (4) Operation Gospel ministry – Bikaner, North India. In addition to this, a total of £6198 has been given as Covid relief for people who were struggling due to Covid 19 and £3211 has been given as financial assistance for people struggling with other needs. Also, Mount church sisters raised £1720 and paid the same towards financially struggling individuals in India. ## **Charity Support in UK 2020** In 2020, Mount Church allocated £1667 towards charity support in UK, and this has been given to the below three charities. (1) Barnabas Fund (2) 125 - (3) Food Bank Bristol ## **Supporting the local Charity – Soul Food Bristol.** Members of Mount Church were and are continuing to help in Soul Food Bristol, which is a little church built around a weekly community meal to help anyone who is in need. ## **Independent Examiner's Report to the trustees of** ## **Mount Church Bristol** ## **(Charity number: 1127308)** I report on the receipt and payment accounts for the year ended 31st March 2021 set out on page 8 ## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner:** The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993(the 1993 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. ## **It is my responsibility to:** - examine the accounts under section 43 of the 1993 Act - to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act); and - to state whether matters have come to my attention. ## **Basis of the independent examiner’s report:** My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items of disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view' and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statements above. ## **Independent examiner’s statement:** In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention: 1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements - to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the 1993 Act: and - to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply with the accounting requirements of the 1993 Act have not been met or 2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
