Adult Educatlon and Skills
Through our Adurt Education and Skills programme, we have worked towar¢Js establishing a n•w
partnershlp wlth Worklng Men's Coll•g• to deliver ESOL (English for Spgakers of Othe
Languagasl courses lo Latin American users and the k)cal community in Kilburn.
After several years of collabofalion wrth Camden Muft Communlty Lèarning IACLI, our partnership
conclude(J in 2024. This prompted u5 to reflect on how we can improve our service delrvery by ulilising
our in-house team and resoLtrces. One contribLrting factor lo the end of this agreement was the low
attendancg at the ESOL and Digital Skills classes provided by Camden ACL. compaied to the higher
participation in English dasses offered difadty by Latin Ameiican House.

In response, we submitied 8 grant proposal to the City Bridge Foundatlon al the start of 2024. This
proposal. currently under review, ￿kS core funding to enhance our capacity for expanding this
programme. Looking ahead. one of our planned initialives is to introduce fee-pawng Spanish classes
for adults, generating In￿Me that can b8 r9invested lo strengthen our Adult Education and Skills
piovision.
Through careful alh)cati¢)n of resources, American House is committod to reinstating ESOL
classes independently, without rellance on external partnerships. Additionally, we aim lo offer Digital
Skills. Employability training. and lile skllls courses to help adulls-P8rtiCLslady those lacin9 language
