AS SUCH WE WERE UNABLE TO ISSUE SOME GRANT FUNDS TO NOMINATED CAUSES DUE TO DELAYS TO THEIR APPLICATION SYSTEMS. HOWEVER WE WERE PLEASED TO BE ABLE TO ALLOCATE MANY OF THE OUTSTANDING GRANTS. IT WAS ONCE AGAIN AGREED TO HOLD ANY UNALLOCATED GRANT FUNDS UNTIL THE NOMINATED CAUSES CONCLUDED THEIR APPLICATION PROCESS. THIS YEAR WE WERE ABLE TO ISSUE GRANT FUNDS TO THE NOMINATED CAUSES IN THE FOLLOWING PROPORTION. - Teenage Cancer Trust Charity, West Midlands. £101,184 - The Derbyshire Children's Hospital £45,477 - The Queens Hospital, Burton on Trent £15,338 - Cheltenham General Hospital £23,192 - Hereford County Hospital. £17,739 - The Cheethams Children's Ward at the RSUH. £32,697 TOTAL GRANT FUNDS AWARDED THIS YEAR EQUALS £235,627 GRANTS HELD UNTIL NOMINATED CAUSE COMPLETES APPLICATION PROCESS. - Worcestershire Royal Hospital £27,540 THESE GRANT AWARDS IN PART REFLECT THE LOCAL SUPPORT ACHIEVED BY THE SHOPS IN RELATION TO THE ACTIVITY OF THE NOMINATED CAUSE IN THAT AREA. THE GRANTS HAVE BEEN USED TO BUY VITAL MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, TRAINING OF SPECIALIST NURSING STAFF, WARD DEVELOPMENT AND SERVICE DEVELOPMENT IN THE COMMUNITY.
