Only complete if the examiner needs to highlight matters of concern (see CC32, Independent examination of charity accounts: directions and guidance for examiners).
Give here brief details of Whilst carrying out the independent examination of Crescent Aid UK any items that the and reviewing previous year recommendations from the independent examiner wishes to examination I noted that the trustees haven’t changed on the practice of not disclose . banking their cash donations and have still been making their payments from this retained cash account.
The trustees have been keeping records of their donations received and of payments made by cash and have retained receipts for the cash transactions. I have once more advised the trustees to review their financial controls and to take steps to implement them. Furthermore, I have advised them to bank all their cash donations received on community building and through fundraising and to make all their payments by bank as it is suggested on the Charities Commission’s guidance for Internal Financial Controls for Charities.
