accordance with the Sikh faith and according
to the laws of England and where may be
educated members of the general public in the
Punjabi language and in matters relating to the
Sikh religion and where maintained a reference
library for the use by all persons containing
books appertaining to the Sikh religion and
culture and for the promotion of such religious
and other charitable purposes

Despite the historic difficulties experienced
from the Covid-19 pandemic, the year has seen
the charity achieve some of its planned
objectives. A summary of the major

During the year ended lotal income
generated amounted to £104,554 and
expenditure of £65,614 providing a net
surplus of £38.940
The reserves at the end of the year totalled and
were in the current bank account.
Reserves were maintained at their level $0 as
to ensure funds were readily available for
renovation works to the charity building and
facilities. Reserves are also maintained to fund
working capital and to fund shortfalls in the
income when income does not reach expected
levels

The charity relies on donations and offerings
from its members. It is recognised that
donations and offerings can fluctuate from
year to year. The trustees aim to ensure that
the charity has sufficient resources to continue
its activities and to meet its obligations to this
end. It is considered prudent that sufficient
liquid funds are maintained.

|charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 March 2024|

**Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of  the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or 

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or 

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
