LCP2 provides information, representation and support to its members, London's Safer Neighbourhood Boards and other community and police engagement, consultation and accountability groups. It works with the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime, the Metropolitan Police Service and other organisations and individuals aiming to achieve effective and accountable policing in a safer London.
Objects: To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public In Greater London Good Citizenship And Greater Public Participation In Matters Relating To Safety And The Prevention And Solution Of Crime In The Area By:a Improving Strategic Community Engagement With The Policeb Creating And Developing Independent Community Engagement Groups (cegs)c Encouraging Strong Working Relationships Between Cegs And Criminal Justice Boards And Other Relevant Bodies3 Such Other Charitable Means As The Directors In Their Discretion Think Fita Community Engagement Group Is A Group Comprising Of Persons Drawn From Different Sections Of The Community Who Are Able To Articulate Their Experiences And Problems With Crime Arising Within The Community..
