Objectives & Activities

 Charitable Objects

The objects of the charity are:

  1. To advance the Christian faith in accordance with the Statement of Belief, in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees from time to time may think fit;

  2. To relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods, or services of any kind, including through the provision of counselling and support, in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees from time to time may think fit; and

  3. To advance education in such a way and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees from time to time may think fit.

 Activities

During the year, the Church actively participated in various spiritual and fellowship programmes aimed at strengthening faith and community unity.

A key highlight of the year was the Sharon National Conference, held from 1st to 3rd March 2024, which brought together members from across the UK for worship, teaching, and fellowship. The conference provided an opportunity for spiritual renewal and collective prayer.

Church Council

The church is overseen by a council of members who are elected by the general body. The council works closely with the Pastor to provide leadership and direction for the church’s activities and ministries. Regular meetings are held to review and assess all church activities, ensuring that any concerns or areas for improvement are identified and addressed promptly. Necessary changes are implemented for the benefit of the church, its members, the wider community, and the nation.

The church council is responsible for the overall governance of the church, while the day-to-day management is carried out in collaboration with the Pastor. Financial matters are managed by the treasurer, and the church accounts are regularly reviewed and audited to ensure transparency and accountability.

- Summary of Charitable Activities for 2024 25

During the year, the Church continued its commitment to supporting charitable works in India. Assistance was extended to individuals and communities in need through local church networks and charitable partners. The activities focused on providing welfare support, educational assistance, and relief for disadvantaged families. These initiatives reflect the Church’s mission to show compassion and promote social welfare beyond the UK.

I ndependent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of

Sharon Fellowship Church UK

(Charity number: 1126940 )

I report on the receipt and payment accounts for the year ended 31[st] March 2025 set out in pages 7 & 8

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner:

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

It is my responsibility to:

Basis of the independent examiner’s report:

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items of disclosure in the accounts and seeking explanations from the Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view' and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statements above.

Independent examiner’s statement:

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

  1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements i. to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the 1993 Act: and

  2. ii. to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply with the accounting requirements of the 1993 Act have not been met or

  3. which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Statement of Trustees' responsibilities Law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each year, which give a true and fair view of the charity's financial activities during the period and of its financial position at the end of the year. In preparing financial statements giving a true and fair view, the trustees should follow best practice and: - Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently - make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent - Prepare the financial statements on the going-concern basis unless it is inappropriate to assume that the charity will continue in business. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose, with reasonable accuracy, the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with applicable law and regulations. The trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and for taking reasonable steps to prevent and detect fraud and other irregularities Risk Management The charity has assessed all the major risks to which the charity is exposed, in particular those related to the operations and finances of the charity, and is satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to major risks.
