Summary ofthe objects of the charity set out in its governing document Whilst the original Church building in Chelsea has been sold, the Churth conb.nues to otErate. Its members worship as part of a combined church with two other churches in a building on Eastcastle Street, London W1. This is known as Eglwys Cymraeg Canol Llundain. The Trust supports the running of this Church alongside other organisation that operate in support of the original remit relating to Welsh language Christian worship and education. When undertaking our aclivitEs for the year the Trustees have considered the Commission's guidan(£ on public benefit. Summary ofthe main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit) The Tnjst has continued to support the operational running of the Church in Eastcastle Street having entered into a sharing agreement with Iwo other Welsh Churches. There has been significant work carried out to maintain the church building in the last year or so and these are continuing. This year there has been significant investment and work on the front of the chapel and the toilets in the basement. There was a need for radical Work in the area and this has involved replacing the front steps as as well as the front support beams. In addition, Ihe Trustees have supported other institutions and causes in London which relate to Welsh language education and worship. Section D Achievements and performance Summary ofthe main achievements of the charity during the year The biggest athievernent in the last year has been ensuring that the Church in Eastcastle Street has reopened its doors for worship for the members In terms of the operath)nal running. the Trust has needed to increase ils monthly investment. Alongside of this major building WO￿ has been c2nied out including the installation of newstone sleps as well as structural supports. Water Ingress in the toilets has been an ongoing issue for decades and investment has been made to address the issues here. This has been made in return for an equty share ofthe building, should the building be sold at any time.
