FINANCIAL REVIEW Reserves policy The Charilics Commission recommends that all Charities should maintain rcscrves io meet poten11￿ liabilities and to cover fluctuaiions in income. In complying with this recommendalion, the trustees have set up reserve ￿nd as shown in the accounts. Th¢ fi]nd represents money held on bchalf of branches to iy]eel ￿tUre financial requiremey]ts. Reservcs of the organisation are largely unrestricted, although th¢re were SMAII balances carri¢d forward in 2023 on two restricted ￿ndS lotailing £6.880. Unrestricted ￿ndS of £517,009 make up the remainder of reserves totalling £523,889. 11 is the policy of tlie charily to retain unreslricted ￿ndS ai a level which equates to approximately 3 months of its committed cxpcnditure.
