Objectives and Activities of the Charity
Bensham Manor Community Association serves the local community by providing various services, including training, advice, classes, and facilities for young children. Our primary aim is to enhance the well-being and development of the community members we serve.

During the financial year, the charity focused on delivering services that meet the needs of our community. Key activities included:

Run a Food Bank and clothes bank.

Providing support to afterschool Classes: Offered educational and recreational classes for young children to support their growth and learning.

Community Engagement: Facilitated community events to foster connection and support among local residents.

Providing support to welfare and benefit advice session.

Support to run Yoga and socialising session for vulnerable women.
Income and Expenditure
For the financial year ending 31 October 2023, the charity's financial performance was as follows:

Total Expenditure: £25,582
Surplus: £817
The charity remains in a healthy financial position, with income exceeding expenditure for the year.
Share Capital
As a company limited by guarantee, Bensham Manor Community Association does not have share capital. This structure ensures that the charity is not focused on generating profits for shareholders but rather on serving its community objectives.

Principal Funding Sources
During the financial year ending 31 October 2023, Bensham Manor Community Association primarily relied on the following funding sources:

Donations from Individuals and Local Businesses : Contributions from individuals and local businesses played a significant role in funding the charity’s services and initiatives.

Hiring out the hall.

Fundraising Events : The charity organised various fundraising events that helped generate income and engage the community.
The trustees express their gratitude to all funders, supporters, and volunteers whose contributions enable the charity to fulfil its mission.
Statement of the Responsibilities of the Trustees
In accordance with the Charities Act, the Trustees are responsible for preparing financial statements that provide a true and fair view of the charity's state of affairs and its surplus or deficit for the financial period. In preparing these statements, the Trustees are required to:
a) Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently;
b) Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
c) State whether applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practice have been followed, subject to any departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements;
d) Prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business.
The Trustees are also responsible for maintaining accounting records that disclose, with reasonable accuracy, the financial position of the charity, ensuring compliance with the Charity Acts 1993. Furthermore, they are tasked with safeguarding the charity's assets and taking reasonable steps to prevent and detect fraud and other irregularities.
Small Company Exemptions
This report has been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities (issued in March 2005) and in compliance with the provisions of the Charities Act. Additionally, it adheres to the special provisions for small companies under Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006.
As a small charity , Bensham Manor Community Association qualifies for the audit exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006. The trustees confirm that the charity has not been required to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Act, as members have not requested an audit.
Statement of Exemption from Audit
The trustees are satisfied that the charity qualifies for audit exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006. Furthermore, no members have required the charity to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Act.

The directors are satisfied that the company is entitled to exemption from the requirement to obtain an audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006.
The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Act.
The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the micro entity provisions of the Companies Act 2006 and FRS 105, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable to the Micro-entities Regime. The accounts have been delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime. The profit and loss account has not been delivered to the Registrar of Companies.

Independent Examinerfs Report Charity Name: Bensham Manor Community Association Charity Registration Number: 1126604 Financial Year Ended: 31st October 2023 Saad Muhammad Waqas was appointed as the independent examiner for the charity during the year and has confirmed its willingness to continue in this role. This report covers the financial statements for the period from 1st November 2022 to 31st October 2023. Res ective Res onsibilities of Trustees and Examiner The trustees of the charity, who are also its directors for the purposes of company law, are responsible for ensuring that financial statements are prepared in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and the Companies Act 2006. The trustees have determined that the charity does not require a full audit under the applicable law but is eligible for independent examination, based on the income and asset thresholds set out in the Charities Act 2011. As the independent examiner. il is my responsibility lo= Conduct an examination of the accounts in accordance with section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 . Follow the Directions and guidan issued by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(bl of the Charities Act 2011. Report on any matters arising that should be biought lo the attention of the trustees or the public.
