Walserfs Tanzania Charity operates entrrely with volunlary staff in the UK
for administration, fundraising and participation in annual visits. These
Charty volunteers plus volunteer partners in RepubliG of Ireland &
Gemiany allow the Charity to operate vlith minimum costs. We are
exiremel¥ grateful to our volunteers for their valuable contribution.

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
A minimum of one charity visrt to Ifunda is undertaken each year by
Trustees and other chosen volunteers to monitor the progress of charty
activFties.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and travel restrtctions there was no charity
visÉt in 2020. The charity put in place addrtional monitoring to ensure the
educational sponsorship scheme continued to run smoothly. Close
communication with the chaiity contatts in Ifunda ensured that the charity
were kept frJlly up to date with activibes and any issues arising with the
vrc. ICTC a￿1 the hostel.
On-going activities
Educaional Sponsorship Programme supporting clrca 320 students
Continued development of UK sthool link relationships as a
means of fundraising (school assemblies not possible in 2020 due to
Covi&19 but updates & dialogue with schools continued}
Financial support to Itjcal Ifunda schools
Financial support to the Vocattonal Training Centre
Financial support to ICTC (tuition ￿ntre)
Key Activities 2020
Fundraising to (Teate a 'hardship fund, to allow extra provision for
students exFerienang particular hardship. Circa £18.750 was raised
forthisfund.
Student school and home visits by the Charity representative in Q4
2020 to establish hardship cases and review sponsored student
progress.
C marketing and recruttment campaign to increase student
numbers.
Fundraising for outsta-nding bunkbeds at Hostel in order to reach fvll
capacty.
1000 Covid masks funded & made by ￿c tailoring team for

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/12/2020. 

**Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of  the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
