The company is to exist as a non-profit to promote our core objectives;

Trustees Responsibilities

Company law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of the charitable company and of the income and expenses during the course of that year.

In preparing the accounts the trustees are required to:

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at the time the financial position of the charitable company and to enable them to ensure that the statements comply with the Companies Act 1985. They are also responsible got safeguarding the assets of the charitable company and hence take reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Annual Review

The majority of the funds raised were deployed to achieve the objectives of Wildlife SOS while ensuring awareness and education targets were also achieved as well as social impact on the target communities and target groups. Targets were also to maintain stability in support of our Indian parent company.

Wildlife SOS Notes to the Financial Statement 01/07/2023 through 30/06/2024

1. Accounting Polices

1.1 Conventions

The financial statements are in accordance with the Companies Act 1985 and follow the recommendations of the Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice issued in October 2005.

The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention.

1.2 Income

Income received through ‘in-kind’ support or by the way of donations has been defined as unrestricted or restricted where it is for a specific project. The value of voluntary services has not been included.

1.3 Foreign Currencies

Donations and incurring liabilities are translated into sterling at the rates of exchange prevailing at the accounting date of the remittance. Transactions in foreign currencies are recorded at the date of the transaction. All differences are dated into the Income and Expenses account and are recorded as unresolved equity in the Balance Sheet.

2. Taxation

As a registered non-profit company we are exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities. Gift Aid due for this accounting period was received after the end of the accounting period so has not been included in this years figures.
