## WIDER COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES **FOOD BANK** 

• **Our Food Bank service is open to anyone in need.** • **Financial difficulties, temporary setbacks, or unforeseen circumstances, we’re here to help.** • **Contact the masjid through our contact channels or visit us during prayer time.**

- **Held twice a month** 

• **Providing support and education for new Muslims** • **Arrange Iftar for Reverts brothers and sisters during Ramadan.**

• **Visit my Mosque:  A national initiative by MCB, where we opened our masjid for nonMuslims to come and visit.** 

• **Community Litter Picking: WCE initiative to get the community together to clean our neighbourhood.** 

• **Gaza Protest in London: Arranged two coaches to take 160 people to Central London for a Nationwide protest. Also arranged for their food.** 

• **Discover Ramadan: Invited our non-Muslim neighbours and colleagues to break a fast in Masjid during Ramadan.**

- **Evening Madrasah now has 122 students with an average of 16 students in each class.** 

- **There are 8 classes (3 girls' classes and 5 boys' classes).** 

- **We now have Hifz classes** 

- **Teachers review meetings every 6 month.** 

- **Teachers training sessions twice a year.** 

- **Three exam sessions, after every 4 months.** 

- **Children’s competition three times a year.** 

- **Two parents’ evening sessions.**

WE HOLD THREE CHILDREN’S COMPETITIONS A YEAR. CHILDREN TAKE PART IN QURAN RECITATION, NASHEED, AZAN, SPEECH, AND ISLAMIC ART. EVERY CHILD RECEIVES A CERTIFICATE AND WINNERS ALSO RECEIVE TROPHIES OR MEDALS.

## BOOSTER CLASSES 

- **Newly started Booster Classes in Hockwell Ring Masjid.** 

- **Classes run every Saturday from 10 am till 12 noon.** 

- **Open for both boys and girls.** 

- **From Year 2 to GCSE.** 

- **Maths and English subjects are taught.** 

- **DBS cleared fully qualified staff.**

- Weekly Youth circle in masjid for boys on Wednesdays. 

- “Cave” sessions run once a month in Hockwell Ring Masjid and Al-Jalal masjid. 

- • Weekly JMC and Muflihaat girls’ circles on weekends. 

- • “Girls Night In” once a month in Hockwell Ring Masjid. 



## YOUTH ACTIVITIES 

**Newly started Chill sessions that run in the masjid. This covers games, Nasiha sessions and Qiyam-ul-Layl**

## **MASJID MANAGEMENT** 

Five daily prayers, jumma prayers, Taraweeh, Eid prayers, Iftar arrangements, Itikaf and regular masjid maintenance are our core activities. 

We aim to provide a safe environment where everyone is welcome and feels peace and tranquillity. 

Last Ramadan we accommodated around 600 people for Taraweeh prayers each night, with marquee facilities in the car park. 

During Itikaf we had 16 people staying in the masjid with secluded facilities. 

Throughout Ramadan we made arrangements for Iftar, Qiyam-ul-layl and Sahoor which created a lively environment with many youths participating.
