INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT ON THE ACCOUNTS OF LUTON ISLAMIC COMMUNITY FORUM FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2021 Charity no: 1126387 I have examined the accounts on pages 8 10 11. which have been prepared on the basis of accounting policies set out on page 10. R9spectiv• responsibllltles of trustees and #xamin#r: The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charity's Iruslees consi¢Jer that an audit is not required ft)r this year under section 144 of Ihe Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Acll and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to.. examine the aGcounls under section 145 01 the Charities Act, to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission {under section 14515llbl of the Charities Act. and to stale whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of indepondont examinerfs statement.. My examination was carfied out in accordance with general Directs'ons given by the Charity Commission. An exam1nation includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison ot the accounts presented with those records. 11 also includes consideration of any Unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'trLte and fair view and the report is limited lo those matters set out in the statement below. Accounting Policies 1.1 Basis of Accountlng The Financial statements have been prepared In accordance with Accountèing and Reporting by Charities. Statement of Recommended Practice applicableto charities prèparing thèi13c£ounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republicof Ireland IFRS1021 (effective l January 20151- Icharlties SORP IFRS 1021. The Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republi¢ of Ireland IFRS1021 and the Companies Art 2CKJ6. The financial ststements have been prepared to give a 'true and fair, view and have departed from the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations2C4)8 only to the extent required to provide a 'true and fair, view. This departure has involved followingthe Charities SORP IFRS 1021 published on 16 July 2014 rather then the Accountin8 and Reportlng by Charities.. The income from fundraising ventures is shown gross, with the associated cosis included in fundraising costs. 1.3 Re$ourco5 Expgnded Resources expended are includ8d in the Slatement of Financial Activities on accrua15 basis, excluded of VAT where applicable. Expenditure that is directly attributable to specific activfrties has been included in these cost categories.
