**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE SCIENCE OF GEOLOGY AND ITS ALLIED SCIENCES IN PARTICULAR, BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, AS THEY RELATE TO PETROLEUM, NATURAL GAS, OTHER SUBSURFACE FLUIDS, AND MINERAL RESOURCES, THROUGH METHODS INCLUDING:- PROMOTING THE TECHNOLOGY OF EXPLORING FOR, FINDING, AND PRODUCING SUCH MATERIALS IN AN ECONOMICALLY AND ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND MANNER; AND DISSEMINATING INFORMATION RELATING TO THE GEOLOGY AND THE ASSOCIATED TECHNOLOGY OF PETROLEUM, NATURAL GAS, OTHER SUBSURFACE FLUIDS, AND MINERAL RESOURCES.

**Activities:** To advance the science of geology and its allied sciences in particular, but without prejudice to the generality of the forgoing, as they relate to petroleum, natural gas, other subsurface fluids and mineral resources.  The outreach is made through short courses, educational offerings, technology workshops, student grants and programs, etc.
