Para 1.20 | We will continue to focus on poverty, disability, end of live care, cancer research, homelessness, and education. Our immediate focus will be the support of: Tiny Lives– Neonatal care. Pathways 4 All- Parent-led charity, providing play and leisure services for disabled children and young people. Heel & Toe– Children’s Charity that supports children with Cerebral Palsy and other physical disabilities. Dragonfly Cancer Trust- Working with families, hospitals, and hospices across the UK supporting young people (aged 0-25) with terminal cancer. Maggies Cancer Charity- Charity that provides free expert care and support in centres across the UK and online. St Cuthberts Hospice- Providing palliative and end of life care services for people living in North Durham, at a time and a place that is right for them. The Peoples Kitchen- Supporting homeless and vulnerable people and help fight hunger and loneliness for locals in need. Woman’s Cancer Detection Society- The Women’s Cancer Detection Society is a local charity based in the breast cancer screening unit at the QE in Gateshead focussing on early detection of breast cancer. Escape Intervention- working with 4-25 year olds and their parents/carers. It is our goal to help and support as many children, young people and their families to overcome any barriers to personal success through using a |
holistic approach to treat the whole person, taking into account all factors that contribute to their problems. Northumbria University – Education without barriers 15 scholarships commencing 2024 for 3 years. Kids Out - Gives disadvantaged children positive experiences to support them becoming future members of our society. Smart Works - UK charity that exists to give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment, and change the trajectory of their lives.
