Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
After the restrictions imposed by COVID , and following the CPD training of the existing team , all support services had moved on-line and telephone with the development of the help line.. This was successful and saw training continue into the following year. Face to face sessions have been resumed in some cases although the use of telephones and IT has enabled the service to be extended.
At the beginning of the year the trustees advertised for and appointed a part time centre manager to build on the work that the development worker had previously undertaken.
During 2022, the Welsh Government set aside a fund to develop a number of pathways for Bereavement support and IPAC were successful in applying for a 3 year grant to support women who have lost pregnancies at some stage of their life. The grant was received in March 2022 and has secured the premises for 3-5 years to be used by IPAC. The first instalment of the grant also provided for re-branding, setting up a survey of minority groups, additional furniture and equipment for the reception area, and advertising for a new member of staff to support the Centre Manager. All of these were commissioned during March 2022.
Additional time was spent in upgrading the Centre and increasing the numbers of clients and others using the Centre.
