**Objects:** The advancement of education of able, gifted and talented children and students in the United Kingdom and in other countries and in particular but not exclusively by:- 1.1 conducting research concerning the provision made within schools? curricula for such children in order to disseminate the useful results of such research and to develop curricula and ex-curricula provision commensurate with the educational requirements of such children; and 1.2 providing for the training and support to teachers and others concerned with the education of such children in the theory and good practice of provision for their education.

**Activities:** To provide advice, support and professional development for teachers and others in the education of more able, gifted and talented pupils.  To maintain and promote awareness of the developments in the education of able, gifted and talented pupils.  To act as an advocate for the needs of able pupils both nationally and locally.
