## **Trustees report 31 March 2025**

The trustees present their report with the receipts and payments accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2025. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts and followed applicable accounting standards.

## **Trustees**

The trustees who served the charity during the year were as follows:

Mrs C W Fawcett Mr E G D McCarrison BVMS MRCVS Dr P S Crowther

## **Objectives and activities**

The charity’s principal objective during the year was to relieve the suffering and distress of cats which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining to the welfare of cats in general.

## **Achievements and performance**

The Charity has continued to move forward with regular newsletters being emailed to our growing number of readers (both vets and cat owners) from all over the world and from whom we receive extremely positive feedback and, indeed, letters of thanks for the topics which we are highlighting.

We are pleased to report that our website is itself attracting interest worldwide and our readership currently spans 15 countries. In the past year we have published two new articles on our website penned by veterinary expert Samantha Taylor; ‘Caring for Your Kitten’ and most excitingly ‘Feline Infectious Peritonitis – now a treatable disease’. The latter has received unprecedented interest and gratitude from cat owners for this news.

Both of the new webpages are being advertised in regional and national magazines this summer to further continue the Charity’s commitment to promoting feline welfare issues. Our advertisements going forward will contain a QR code facilitating ease of access to our website for busy readers and to bring the Charity up to date with today’s popular technology.

We are planning to commission another new webpage dedicated to feline arthritis - knowing the symptoms and treatment options available - which would be most useful to cat owners.

The Trustees are extremely proud of the Charity’s achievements in the last twelve months and look forward to building upon our passion and vision for our feline companions and their well-being.
