menral healih issues. i501atbon. and loneliness. Ihis has often resulied from delayed Of lack of

localSsed provlsions. removin8 barriers or criteria that re5trici en8a8ement and working wilh
partners, we can enga8e with people soon after they move into the area. Enabling 8reater

take control and live their best life.

We remain resilient in a period of a turbulent funding landscape. Through the appointment
of a Business Development Officer. we have ssJcces5fully been able to secure rnultiyear and
core funding from local 8rant makers and our local infrastructure organisation. The Board
utilised ihe Charities surplu5 free reserves to continue to SUPPOrt rhe workforce and ensured
that our core services remained functioning at full capacity.

n addition. we si8nposted and referred over 150 people. Alihough this was 25% less
Ihan last year. we saw more people with cornplex multiple needs. People were
$18nposted 537 times to 5UPPOrt services. this 15 over a 50% increase in needs than last
yearf$ 256. 7% were actual referrals inio services Ilast year 33%1. This was for citizen
advice. training. volunteerin8. and support with healih. Actual referrals dropped due
to developing more culturally sensilbve 5ervice5 in house such as our access support.
learnin8 hub. rnen's. and women's groups. Ovr divers*ty of service u5er5 continue to
widen with 73% from the 8anBladeshi community. Pakistani 115%>. Chinese 12x1.

Funds as at 31" March 2024 amounted to £221.448 of which £25.338 were
restricied.
Restricted funds held ai ihe end of the year have been carried forward for the

Unrestricted 5urplu5 reserves amountin8 to E62. 157 in 23_24 were allocated to
over gaps in salarles. Includin8 appoinlrnent of a new post of Business Development
officer. uniil addiilonal fundin8 could be sourced. This also covered shortfall in
empenditures for core runnin8 Costs and overheads ihat were not covered under
secured grants. The Board also a8reed to cover costs of stèrt-up of ihe wornen's
Interpreiln8 and iranslation servlces and assoclated expense5 05 part of ihe CharitTr15
