The Trustees present their report for the period ended 31 March 2025 The financial
statemeiits have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies on page 8 and
comply with the charity's applicable law.
The charity was incory)orated as a private company limited by guarantee on 25 August 2006 .
OBJEI CTS
The objects of the charity are to advance religion in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
To advance education and promote the conununity participation in healthy recreation by
providing facilities foi playing particular sports. The building and maintenance of a mosque
in particular but not exclusively for the benefit of the local and surrounding Musli]n
community in Birmingham.
ACTIVITIES AND PROGRESS
Washwood Heath Muslim Centre provides public benefit through its programmes of prayers
and celebration of the key events in the Islamic Calclldar. Activities are open to everyone in
the community. The mosque also pi'ovidcs Congregational Prayers, Friday Sern]ons and Eid
Prayers. For younger childrcn thcre are summer and winter schools during holiday period and
evening classes.
During the period the association managed to raise donations alld co.Ilcctions fiom local
coinmunity and continue the work of building the mosquc. Trustccs also manage to run
religious education classes for children. Trustccs arc planning to increase the classes and are
in search ot. qualified teachers.
F.INANCE
During the period the charity raised funds by collecting donations and interest free friendly
loans from the community niembers. Trustees are tsying to raise fi]nds to pay off the loans.

Charity law requires the trustees of the Association to prepare statemenls of acLounts for each
financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity alld of its
incorning resources and application of resources for that period. kn preparing those financial

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which are sufficient to
show and explain the clydrity's trnnsactions and to disclose with reasonable accuracy at any
time the fiiiancial position of the Association, and to enable them to ensure that any
statements of account comply with the requirements of the Charity (Accounts and Reports)
Regulations 2000. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and
taking reasonable steps for the preveiition and detection of fraud ￿]d other irregularities
RISK MANAGEMKNr
The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed, in particular those
related to the operations and fllLances of the project , and ar¢ satisfied that systCULS are in
place to lliitigate our exposure to major risks.
RFSERVES POLICY
The Reserve bund represents unrestricted funds. The Tiustees aim to maintain sufficient
rese￿e8 so as to give flexibility to cover temporary timing differences for donations received,
adequate working capital for core costs and which allow them to respond quickly lo the needs
of the Tiust.

I report on the accounts of Washwood Heath Muslim Centre for the year ended 31 March 2025

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The chaiity's Trustees who are also the directors of the compaiiy for the purpose of company law are
responsible for the preparatioii of the accounts. The cliarity's trustees consider tliat an audit is not
reqiiired for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 ( the 2011 Act) and that an
indepeiident examination is needed.

Basis of illdependent examiner's statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with General Dirwtions giveii by the Charity
Commissioiiers. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by tlie charity aiid
a comparison of tlie accounts presented witli those records. It also inclLThdes consideration of any
iinusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explaiiations from tlie trustees concerning
any sucli Inatters. The procedurcs ￿]der￿k¢ll do not provide all the eviden¢¢ tliat would be required
in an audRt, ￿]d consequeiitly no opinion is giveii as lo whether the accounts present a 'trne and fair
view of tlie report is limited to tliosc matters set out in tli¢ statement below.
