In tts 13th year and during a Continuing Covid-19
pandemic, the Foundation has maintsined it's
support of young people with awards of over
£50,000 to more than 70 young individuals,
together wtth financial contributions to 15 whole
school and group projeGts. In addrtion to these
awards an amount of £21,000 was allocated to
cover the cost of the lease of the JTYAF 1&seater
minibus for another 5 years.
Young peO￿e are experiencing many challenges
in these uncertain and drfficutt times and with
many of the opportuntkn'es nornally availab￿ to
them cancelled or postponed, JTYAF support has
been less aL#Ntyladventure based with a greater
emphasis on funding for equipment.

The chanty allocated funding for support to young
people from 19 youth organisations including,
Ferndown Upper School, the Air Cadets Junior
LeadeT5 Course, Dorset & Wilts Air Cadets.
Beaucroft Foundation Sth¢)ol, Femdown Middle

£7000 was awarded to 8 individuals and 3 groups,
which included funding the costs of Travel to the
YoLrth Wodd Sailing Championships in Oman for a
young lQ'te Surfer who is Youth National
Champion. An example of another award saw the
JTYAF pay for a looked after child to attend a
residential outdoor activiti.es trip wlih his school,
which will provide many new experiences and the
opportunity to develop social skills and improve
self*steem.
£21,000 was allocated to continue the lease on
th8 JTYAF 16-seater minibus for another 5 years.
The inrtial lease expired in March 2021 and with
careful budgeting the charity was able to set aside
funds to continue the lease for another 5 years,

During 2021 some JTYAF fundraising events were
still able to go ahead but due to the risk of
infection rt was felt that the use of volunteers
should be limited as muth as possible. The
Chaimian and Secretary staffed the Coastal Tab,
the Fete on the Field and the Dorsel Plane Pull
themselves. Trustees and volunteers supported
the charity at the Boumemouth Air Show
Hospitality Day and the JTYAF Christmas Bingo.
JTYAF volunteers have a￿vayS played an

However, the fijndraising support received from
the Air Cadet Junior Leaders Course during this
hallenging time was incredible. Despite all the
restrictions and drfficuMies. the Air Cadets Junior
Leaders staff managed to raise an amount of
£27,000 by organising a virtual 'Around the World
Challenge.. This made a huge d[fferen￿ to the
continued success of the Foundation and to the
opportunrties that the ThYAF will be able to
provide for young people in 2022.

Our main Sour￿ of fundraising is USLsally from
fundraising events organised by or on behalf of
the charity. The Covid-19 pandemic has afferted
this Sour￿ of funding. We are however
privileged to receive a substantial amount of
funding in persona5 and business donations and
from Charty of the Year status.
