Step (UK) Ltd is an international development charity, working to improve the lives of vulnerable children in the Kurdish region of Iraq. We sponsor front-line work such as a children's drop-in centre and more strategic work such as the implementation of the first foster care policy in the region. We have also sponsored child protection projects in camps for refugees and displaced Iraqi people.

Objects: A) The Develop The Capacity And Skills Of Disadvantaged Children And Adults In Such Away That They Are Better Able To Identify, And Help Meet, Their Needs And Toparticipate More Fully In Their Society.b) The Relief Of Financial Hardship Amongst Disadvantaged Children And Adultsc) To Advance The Education And Training Of Disadvantaged Children And Adults So Asto Advance Them In Life And Assist Them To Adapt Within Their Existing Or Newcommunityd) To Preserve And Protect The Physical And Mental Health Of Disadvantaged Childrenand Adultse) The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation With Theobject Of Improving The Conditions Of Life Of Those Persons Who Have Need Of Suchfacilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardshipor Social And Economic Circumstances.f) To Advance Education And Develop The Capacity And Skills, In Particular But Notexclusively By The Provision Of Training, Of "carers" Within Professional Bodies, Laypeople And Those Working Within Government Structures In Developing Countries.g) To Advance The Education Of The Public In The United Kingdom In General About Theissues Relation To Such Disadvantaged Children And Adults.such Work Among Disadvantaged Children And Adults Maybe Undertaken World-Wide, But Afocus Will Remain On Areas Affected By War And Internal Conflicts Resulting In Increasedpoverty And Displacement
