West Heath Community Association Final Accounts 2023124 Report of the Trustees and Directors for the Year End 31 March 2024 The Trustees and Directors present their Report, together with financial statements of West Heath Community Association for the year ending 31 March 2024. The financial statements are set out on the following pages. For the year ending 31 March 2024, the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies. Directors, responsibilities: The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its accounts for the year in question in accordan￿ with section 476. The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts. These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies, subject to the small companies, regime. Principal Activitie8 The principal activity of the Association is to promote the well-being of the community and residents in West Heath for which purposes as may, by law, be deemed charitable, To associate local authorities, voluntary organisations and residents in common effort to advance education, to further health, to provide recreation and to foster a community spirit. Financial Report for the Year to 311t March 2024 The year was another tight and tough one. Total income was up 9.40/0, expenditure 10.4 % (mainly caused by wage costs 15.4 % , utilities 6.1 % ) which resulted in a loss of £2263 (£1262 - 22123). The biggest reason being project costs £2554, in the year, taken from our reserves (the bank accounts). Our normal running costs just broke even. 2024125 will see more of the same, with increased project costs (agreed) including hopefully completion of Community Asset Transfer (CAT).. Future Developments 2024125 is going to be very tough with increased costs across the board. However increased income from rents and fund raising should help offset costs. We will continue to be a vital source for the local community.
