Constitution
The Trelix Charitable Trust was created by Elvzabeth Ruth Inman Hanning. Henry Somerset Hanning and
Graham Egerton Benwell for charitsble purposes by means of a Trust Deed dated 25 March 2008. Elvzabeth
Hanning agreed to contribute £100 to constitute the charity and a further £1 million was received from The
Kaliste Trust on 30 July 2008.
The Trust is a registered charity, number 1124952.

The Trustees present their report along with the accounts for the year ended 5 April 2022.
Strueture. Govemance and Managamant
The constitution of the charty is set OLrt on page 1. The Trustees who have served during the year and since
the year end are set out on page 1. Future Trustees must be appointed by resolution of the Trustees. The
Trustees must hold at least one meeting each year. A quorum at a meeting of the Trustees 15 three Trustees.
Decisions may be determined by a simple majority of the votes cast at a meeting.
Objectives and Activities
The Objects are to make donations towards or otherwise to promote or assist such charitable purposes and
inslitutions as the Trustees may Ihink frt.
Public Benefit
The charity Trustees have compfied wth their duty ID have due regard lo the guidance on public benefit
published by the Charity Commission and grants have been made during the year which have given public
benefft to a number of chaisties a wide variety of charitable objects.
Funds
The Trustees must Use the income and may use the capital of the Charity in promoting the Objects.
Risk Review
The Trustees have continued lo rewew and monitor the major risks to which the Charity is exposed. The
Trustees have reviewed the major risk facing the Chanty and believe that rt would relate to a fall in investsmenl
income. The Trustees have addressed this risk by appoinb.ng investment managers whose perfomiance is
monitored by the Trustees.
Investments
The Trustees. investment policy has been to provide a stream of income available for potential distribubon and
sound capital base for the long term future of the Charity-
Reserves Policy
The Trustees. policy is to apply the income year on year as il is received. so that expenditure broadly matches
income received.

Financial Review
During the year investment and other income amounting to £53,05512021: £57,193) was received, and grants
amounting to £44,000 {2021". £94,000) were paid. The market value of investments al the year*nd amounted
to £1.152,606 12021-. £1.357.804} and the balance on the Stixkbroker Capital account amounted lo £7.392
12021= £4,686}. The fall in value of the investment portfolio at the year end relates to the purchase of a new
investment propety during the year. The Trustees will conb.nue to closety monrtor the value of its investments
and the level of investment income.
Achievements and perforrnance
The property in Boumemouth is still being lived in by the Same Syrian family. We are happy with the daily
support that the staff at Intemational Care Ne￿rk gives for them. The couple now have another young child
and the famity have setlled really well into their new lffe in the UK. The property remains in a good state of
repair. In the past year, the Trust acquired a new property in Portsmouth. which ha5 been leased to Hope into
Action, a UK charity helping churche5 house the hOMe￿S5. After some minor renovations. the property is now
being occupied by an Afghani famity who were reSett￿d in the UK as part of a govemment scheme. This
propety is in a good state of repair.
The investment income received by the Trustees during the year has enabled them to make grants to 48
{2021: 811 charities behveen £500 and £4,000 with a wide variety of chatilable interests, benefrfing k)cal,
national and overseas communities.

TO THE TRUSTEES OF
THE TRELIX CHARITABLE TRUST
I report lo the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 5 April 2022 which
are sel out on pages 5 to 9.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity Iruslees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with
the requirements of the Charities Act 20111.lhe Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Tru51'5 aco)unt5 carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and
in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions gNen by the Charity Commission
under section 14515llbl of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection
wrth the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect..
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Twst as required by section 130 of the Act,. or
2. the accounts do not accord wth those records" or
3. the accounts do not comply wth the applicable requirements conceming the fomi and content of accouTtt5
sel out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports} Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the
accounts give a.true and fair view, which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concems and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination lo which
attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be
reached.
