Review of Year- Achievements and Performance
Financial Review
This yearwe have se¢n a 51eady requiremeut for rehomins and a sharp rise fftn boarding requests as people continue
to tak¢ adyantsge of being able to take holidays. Ourregular supporters contillue to remain faiihfvl to us fmancially
and we have kept ourftnances steady. We continue to work hard to ensure we maint&ill a positive relationship with
Solihllll Council, continuing to meet their expectations alld those of our new neighbours. We have found
relationships with the local community have again llnproved this last year and we continue to strive to maintsin
this.
We continue to work hanl lo control the day to day running ¢05ts of the rescue which we have achieved with the
help of our ever faIth￿l volunteeTS as we see the nU￿ber of rabbits ¢omit)g into our rescue increase. We have seen
a positive adVa￿ce in auimal welfare and general overall health of our rabbits with the assistance of our medical
staff member And our perrnanent resident number of rabbits has remained steady due to addktioDs and some losses.
Charitable Activities- Rescue, Rehome & Sanctuary
.Our 88nctsary. TabbiLgroup.of Fat Fluff& as mentioned above, has it)creased_and decreased again it] number and .____.__._.--.
cutTEndy stands at l L, each with ongoing health and bchavioural issues. Our rehoming figui.es haye stayed steady
this last year and we remain in a good position to manage our ever increasing llU￿ber of iabbits on our waiting
list. We have kept it open for the entirety of the year but have Seen a rise ￿ the QU￿ber of requests to be added
and the list currer&tly stands at 85 applicants with varylljg numbers of rabbitto surrender.
All 0￿r rabbits are neutered and vaccinated and receive any Thecessary reqllired vet treatment. We continue to have
a good TeldtEODshsp with Vets4Pets in Shirley and we have the ￿valUable support of Rebecca at O&ks Vets in
Cotteridge, who excels at bunny tooth carc and continues to be unimpressed with some of the states of the new
I'&bbits coning in. We operale with a'quality of life" ethic and all our rabbits arè cared for and treated as lolig as
we. and their vet. feel they have this. We will aot let a rabbit suffei. unne¢essarily and have sadly had to let a few
of L)ur long tenll, and very special, rabbits go this year.
This year our trustee team ha5 increased to 3 trustees and 5 core team committee members who continue to work
hard to keep the runlling of all the areas of tlke rescue elticient and safe. We have found a new site tuanager who
has fittcd into thc tearn with ease and has hit the ground running. We are delighted to be in a positioA where we
aTe now rullning the re8eue with 3 fijll time staff ]iieiiibers. They are a great tearll and A credit to the rescue.
Our foster w-ordillatOT, h83 really taken the tole to a new level this year and we b&ve been able to expand and
accommodate more rabbits due to the growing team of foster volunteers takiDg our rabbits into their homes.
Again this year ourteam of volurAteers bave excelled theD]selves' we have many who bave been witb us for several
years now and with our volunteer co-ordinator always encouraging Ihern to give the￿ best we have appreciated
the hard work and effort each and every one of them puts in. It has beell challengiDg post pa￿de￿ic to encourage
new volunteers through the gates and as a result some activities have slowed or been put oll hold. We are, as
.always, indebted to ¢veryone,-our_e￿pl0Yte& & oui volunteers alike,.£or_tbell' on-gO￿g c0rt1mit￿ellt, continued__-...
. Iwd work and support they give to FatFluffs. Everyone involved is key to the exi$t•ice attd growth of Fat Fluffs
2nd we could not have achieved the things we have so far without their help.
Activities for generating funds- Fundrai￿ng events & initiatives and Trading
This year again the opportunities to raise iucorne frorn fi]ndrai5ing have been limited due to a slow return from
restrictions, dramatically increased attendance costs and the llnprecedented heat of the sumtn¢r. W¢ have bee
working alongside oihei. charities tying to look at ways to take this forward next year aud how we can geneTatE
additional funds. There has ￿¢￿ a delay in the new online venture of opening a shop for the rescue, which we had
hoped to l&unch this year, but WE have tnade progres5 and we optimistic this ig SO￿tthE￿g we can lallnch in the
cotniDg f]nancial yetr.

Reserves Policy
We still have our reserve set to the equivalent to 6 months operating costs. allowing for the additional staffmg
costs, at £45,0￿ to cover periods of difficulty encourttered. This amount will be reviewed periodically at tn￿tees,
meetings. As a team we bave agreed that with the housing costs and mortgage rises moving site is not a viable
option so w¢ have agreed a five year plan with the owner of the site we CU￿entlY.0ccupY and have ￿vested some
of the ￿ndS in developing the site, dEaling with drai]iage isslles and n)aking better use of the ypaee we have.
Consideration of the reserve amount will eontinue to be t&ken irtto aecouni with regards to this allocation whethei.
t be returned fimds or saleable assets should it be required.
