Student<br>numbers on existing qualifications have also<br>remained steady, with many of our centres<br>adopting a blended approach to delivery, thereby<br>making courses more flexible and accessible.<br>There has been a steady stream of new business<br>enquiries, with increased interest and take up in<br>Quality Mark programmes and approvals for<br>centres within and outside the UK.  This has been<br>further supported by the transfer of three early<br>years qualifications from NCFE to CFI<br>With regards to Crossfields Learning, the<br>Postgraduate Certificate in Philosophy and<br>Practice of Integrative Education (PPIE) welcomed<br>a new cohort in January, with much of the delivery<br>moving online. There has been an increase in the<br>number of sub-sites offering our CFI Level 2<br>Integrated Education qualifications, and there has<br>been activity to support this, including a<br>conference for practitioners and learners held at<br>Emerson College in March 22.<br>In Crossfields Europa, we are continuing to pursue<br>consultancy commissions as well as working with<br>coaching clients. There is also continuing to work<br>the Danish Psychotherapy organisations with a<br>range of commissions which have the potential to|





|||lead to growth in this area of the organisation in<br>coming years.<br>In all of these activities, trustees believe that there<br>is a public benefit in line with the objects of the<br>charity.|

## **Financial Review** 

|Review of the charity’s<br>financial position at the end<br>of the period|Para 1.21|Turnover for 2021-2022 was £388,236, up on<br>2020-2021 (£290,507).<br>Crossfields Institute’s income is based on project<br>related contributions from a number of our affiliate<br>organisations for educational activities and<br>grants/donations from a few partner organisations.<br>Also in this financial year we sold two of our<br>qualifications to another Awarding Organisation<br>who were better placed to ensure their continued<br>success. Learner/student registration fees from<br>our centres and/or individuals also contribute to<br>the income.<br>Resources expended were £278.197, Down<br>slightly on 2021 (£284,697).<br>Expenses are essentially Institute staff costs,<br>administration overheads, some external<br>professional consultancy costs as well as<br>governance overheads.<br>These activities created a net surplus of £60,039<br>(2021 surplus of £5,810) before revaluations.<br>Looking to the balance sheet net current liabilities<br>were £55,872 (2021 £63,288) and total funds were<br>£122,575 (2021 £65,536) before intangible assets<br>are added. Overall, the balance sheet total is<br>£343,475|

I report to the Charity Trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended
31 March 2022.
Responslbilltles and basls of report
As the Charity Trustees of the Company (and also its directors for the purposes of company law) you are
responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act
2(X)6 ('the 2CX)6 ACY).
Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the Company are not required to be audited under Part 16 of the
2(x￿ Art and are eligible for independent examination, I report in respect of my examination of your
Company's accounts as carried out under section 145 of the Charrties Art 2011 ('the 2011 Arf). In carrying
out my examination I have followed the Dorections given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b)
of the 2011 Act.
Independent examoner's statement
I confirm that l am qualified to undertake the examination because l am a mernber of ACIE, which is one of
the listed bodies.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connertion with
the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respert:
accounting records were not kept in respect of the company as required by section 386 of the
2(X)6 Act. or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or
3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of sertion 396 of the 2cK￿ Act other
than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair Vie￿ which is not a matter considered
