Financial Controls
During the financial year the trust88s gave discrolon to the Investment managgrs to undertake all
decisions concerning the investment portrolio for the advancgmenl of the Trusfs investment
oblectives.
Investment Objectives
11 is intended that the cas%lal value of the portfolio is managed with the long term alm of providing a
balance between income and capital growth in a diversified portfolio of equities, fixed Income stocks
and Gash.
The Trust is a registered charity and thus exempt from capital gains lax. Therèforo, the Investment
objectives of the Tiust are not restricted by capital gains limilalions.
Investment Crlteria
In order to achieve these objectives, the trltslees have appointed Inveslec Wealth & Investment
Limited lo manage the portfolio on a discretionary basis in modlum rlsk assets comprising equities
and fixed income stocks. There are no limitations or reslrictions on investment and the trustees
intend lo keep this under review wilh ils advisers.
Review
The trustees wll review the inveslmonl objectives and criteria of the Trust in conjunction with the
advisers on al least an annual basis.

Reporting on the unaudited accounts of the charity for the year ended 5 April 2021 

## **RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TRUSTEES AND THE INDEPENDENT EXAMINER** 

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 43(3)(a) of the Charities Act 1993 and that an independent examination is needed. 

It is my responsibility to : 

1. examine the accounts section 43(3)(a) of the 1993 Act; 

2. follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act; and 

3. state whether particular matters have come to my attention. 

## **BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT** 

My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charities Commissioners.  An independent examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Trust and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records.  It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning such matters.  The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. 

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT** 

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention: 

(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: 

(a) to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the act; and 

(b) to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply with the accounting requirements of the Act.

(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
