Matters Arising from the minutes:
Bro El-Makawi (Mack) mentioned that in the beginning of the report, his name was mentioned as El-Makawi, but later on in the report was referred to as Mack. Consistency should be remained throughout the report.
Sis Denise asked if we definitely finished around 6pm. Pastor Louis responded that yes, it was a long meeting.
Break for Lunch at 12:30
Reconvened at 13:32
Sis Melissa took the chair and introduced Pastor Louis Farquharson to give the Pastors Report.
Pastor’s Report:
Pastor presented the Pastor’s report and is available upon request. Some highlights from the report are as follows:
-
This year we do not have a theme, and the church is aware of why that is.
-
Numbers 13:30 – our theme for 2024 was “Purpose to Overcome"
-
We continued with the same vision/focus from 2023, and will continue it
onwards in 2025.
-
No Proposed trips for 2025, similar to 2024.
-
Our focus for 2025 is “Prayer for Revival” but this is not going to happen if we are not revived.
-
Prayer has always been our best and most valuable investment in this present climate.
-
Spiritual warfare must also become a way of life for each and every believer. However, this is only going to come because we apply ourselves and not just because we want it.
-
Our warfare is real, but it’s too late for us to standby as spectators hoping and praying.
-
2025 Vision: Proverbs 29:18, Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Sis Laverne asked why there is a difference between the income for Sunday
school books and the expenditure for it. Pastor and Sis Melissa responded that not everyone pays for their Sunday school books and it has been brought up several times before. Bro El-Makawi asked if the current account balance equals to the Income vs expenditure. Pastor responded that yes, roughly it is.
Bro Alexander asked what miscellaneous/events income consists of. Sis Melissa said that she would look into it and provide Alexander with a response at a later date.
Bro John asked that regarding expenditure for family camp 2024, would it have been cheaper if we did not do self-catering (as the sum included expenses for food) Pastor responded that no, full board at Rock UK is more expensive than the self-catering option.
Sis Denise mentioned that it was actioned to check the storage garage that we have and assess if it is still needed. She asked if that action was carried out, to which Sis Melissa responded no. Another action is in place to check the storage garage to see if we can reduce the items that is there, or stop using the garage.

Sis Antoinette mentioned that due to the outreach in march 2024, a bible study was conducted for several months. Sis Alice thanked the youth for encouraging Noah in the Lord, and can see the
effects it is having on him spiritually in and out of church.
