## **FINANCIAL REVIEW**

## **Reserves Policy**

The trustees’ policy on reserves is to ensure that all funds, both restricted and unrestricted, remain positive at all times. Expenditure will only take place if there are sufficient reserves, in the appropriate fund, to support that expenditure.

Restricted funds are only expended in the manner for which the funds were given. If restricted funds are received, the trustees take steps to use those funds expediently for the specified purpose.

At the 31st March 2021, total reserves, in the form of cash and bank balances, were £15,912 (2020: £8,874), all of which were represented by unrestricted funds.

## **Sources of funding**

The charity’s sources of funding are donations received from individuals and organisations, and associated Gift Aid received from HM Revenue & Customs against relevant donations.
