**Objects:** TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF SHIPELY, BRADFORD AND SURROUNDING AREAS, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS.

**Activities:** The Kirkgate Centre is a Community centre based in Shipley, West Yorkshire.  Our main activities include providing a meeting place, resources and support to community groups, voluntary organisations and other groups working with the community.  We develop new activities and services for community benifit.  We also provide additional services for older people including social day care.
