The P~chool has continued to provide term Nme education and care for2to4-year-old chgdren. |
|---|---|---|
| during the year | Our pre school started September 2020 in the same manner that it had | |
ended in fhe summer term —mid-pandemic with an uncerlain path ahead.

Strict measures were put in place to ensure aN staff, children, and

| parents were kept as safe as possible. This was made easier by having | ||
| exclusive use ofthe hall until May 2021. | ||
The Autumn tenn started with a krw number ofchgdren, but the

successful outdoor sessions helped wekome new famiTies through the

doors ofour lovely setdng and we soon saw the numbers increase and

the preschool community grew positively.

Vicky Mome took over as our pre school manager in an unusually

challenging time and has helped staff continue to deliver the high quality

childcare that our children are lucky enough toexperience. Itgoes

| without saying that the slaff have had to udtise their creative skills in new | ||
ways throughout Ihe past academic year —delivering a rantasric nativity

on glm and prerriered through zoom, ganising a pre school end ofyear

outdoor afternoon tea and joining the committee with a range of

fundraising acttvTiies.

The fundraising and generosity ofour pre school and viNage community

has been outstanding. and we have seen amazing otributions. Fingers

crossed for moro brilliant fundraising ideas in the coming year!

| With a brief dosure ofpre school to aN bul chgdren ofessential workers, | ||
the staff ag worked hard to continue with their jobs either online or in the

setting. We were aN kept safe without our bubble bursting and having no

| positive casesl itseemed to be business as usual after our Easter break. | ||
with high numbers ofchildren, forest school sessions at the school and

| the occasional special trip to Bugs and Blossom and staff still sNcking to | ||
their strict deaning procedures and parents adhering to social distancing

| guidance and mask wearing to keep us aN safe. | ||
We have to say. everyone had done a fantastic job at keeping safe,

respecNng others, and following guidance. The performance ofour

preschool staff and for the community during the pandemic shoukl

reassure new families that we really do the best Iokeep our children safe

and happy.
