Both the manager and deputy manager hold BA Hons in Early Integrated Childhood Studies, the manager also holds EYP status. All staff continue to update their training. We currently have one supervisor who has achieved her BA Hons degree in Integrated working with children and families, majority of all other staff in supevisor/key person positions have a level 2/3 qualification or are training towards this. All staff continue to access training provided by the local authority and we have also signed all staff up to Noodle Now which is an online training platform for staff to access training at their leisure. This allows them to update their knowledge and feed this back to other staff at staff meetings to continue to improve practice. We also carry out in house training which is compulsory for all staff and on a needs basis. The nursery has remained busy and operating at almost full capacity. Unfortunately our Kids Club has not reopened fully but did operate during the 6 weeks Summer Holiday, it has remained closed ever since due to the demand for this being very low, and it not being financially sustainable. Since COVID we have struggled, and continue to struggle to recruit good qualified staff. This is now becoming concern. Financially we made a small profit this year of £441. The setting continues to work in partnership with local schools and this is constantly improving. The staff continue to work together to ensure a high level of care and education for all the children accessing this service, however since COVID we have struggled, and continue to struggle to recruit good qualified staff.
