ANNUAL REPORT AND ACCOUNTS FOR BURRIDGE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
The 2023/2024 year has been very much a year of recovery for the Association, the Trustees having inherited a very poor situation in April 2023. With a great deal of hard work, the Association’s finances have been turned around and the hiring calendar for the Village Hall is fuller than it has been for many years.
Children’s party bookings at weekends are proving a very successful community attraction. The standard of the Hall has been vastly improved utilising support from Cala Homes which is developing a housing site adjacent to the Hall. We have also moved to energy eWicient lighting to reduce our energy consumption.
A new Constitution has been adopted.
The Trustees are delighted to have made arrangements to accommodate a pre-school which will further increase the use of the Hall as well as securing our long-term financial position.
A number of new Trustees are in place as well as some valuable volunteers. We believe the future is positive for our charity.
This report and accompanying accounts were approved by the Association at the Annual General Meeting held on 10[th] July 2024.
