2. Structure, Governance and Management
Governing Document: The charity is governed by a constitution supported by Parentkind.
Appointment of Trustees: Trustees are elected at the Annual General Meeting held every year in September.
Organisational Structure: The charity is managed by the committee members and a small group of volunteers consisting of parents and teachers.
Risk Management: The trustees regularly review risks and ensure appropriate procedures are in place through the constitution supported by Parentkind and liaising closely with the school head teacher and business manager.
3. Objectives and Activities
Charitable Objectives: To advance the education of pupils at Ninelands Primary School by developing effective relationships between staff, parents, and others associated with the school, and by engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment to support the school.
Public Benefit Statement: The trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty in section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.
Main Activities Undertaken: Organising fundraising and social events such as summer fairs, Discos, quizzes, Christmas raffles, Easter egg completions and dress down days.
4. Achievements and Performance
Summary of Key Achievements: Successfully hosted multiple fundraising events throughout the year, including summer fairs, school discos and an Olympic fund raising challenge.
Impact: Funds raised were used to support school initiatives and purchase educational resources. Money raised has supported the school to purchase an outdoor classroom and an online education computer program.
Challenges Faced: Volunteer recruitment remains a challenge, but efforts continue to engage more parents through community activities such as a summer fair and quizzes.
5. Financial Review
Overview of Financial Position: The charity maintained a stable financial position with funds raised through events and donations.
Reserves Policy: The charity aims to maintain reserves sufficient to cover planned commitments and unforeseen expenses in the region of a £5000 reserve.
Investment Policy and Performance: The charity does not hold investments.
Going Concern Statement: The trustees consider the charity to be a going concern.
6. Plans for the Future
Strategic Objectives: To continue supporting the school through fundraising and increase community engagement by seeking feedback from parents and teachers and increase the number of meetings to encourage volunteers to come and support.
Planned Activities: Organizing annual events such as the summer fair and disco and plan new events, which will hopefully help to increase the volunteer number and the school community engagement.

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and UK Accounting Standards.
