We value, respect, welcome and include all children and their families regardless of their

This year has been another positive and rewarding one for the preschool, and we are
incredibly grateful for the continued support we receive from our community, families,
and professionals.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Newlands Pub for their continued
donations. Their generosity makes a significant difference
to the preschool.
special thank you goes to Lesley, who has been a
fantastic volunteer throughout the year. Lesley supports the preschool in many
ways and always gives her time generously. In particular, we would like to thank her
for helping Rachael with the organisation of the Christmas raffle, which was a great
success. so thank you Rachael and Lesley you are both brilliant.
We would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to Hannah. who stepped into the role
of manager while Charlotte was on maternity leave. Hannah has been amazing in
thi5 role, 5howin8 dedication. leadership, and commitment, and ensuring the
preschool continued to run smoothly during this period.
We are also grateful to Co-op for their kind donation, which has helped to support
the preschool and its activities through its Local Community Fund, thank you for the shoppers who chose us as
their cause.
We are proud that our preschool continuesto be recommended by both parents
and professionals, reflecting the high-quality care, learning, and support we
strive to provide for every child.
This year. the children enjoyed a range of enriching outings and experiences,
including visits to the local library and the theatre. One of the highlights was a
hands-on reptile experience with Lilly the Red Tailed Boa and friends. which
provided a memorable and educational opportunity for the children.
Finally, we would like to thank the committee for their hard work, commitment,
and support throughout the year, and the staff team for being truly amazing. Their dedicatr"on, passion, and care
ensure that the preschool continues to be a safe, nurturing, and inspiring place for our children to learn and
grow.

OWECTIVES AND A￿1VITIEs OF THE CHARITY
The principal objective of the charity is to enhance the development of chiSdren under school a8e, to provide
appropriate play and educarion facillties. to encourage parentslprimary carer5 to partake in the 8roup activilies
and to ensure all children artd f3milies are welcome regardless or race. religion. 5t3tU5 and ability.
PUBLIC BENEFIT
The trustees have had due regard to Public Benefit 8uidance published by thè Charity Commission. Northstead
Community P￿-sChOOl.s provision of day nursery and pre-s¢hool play￿0Up activit*s lor local children is a great
benefit to both local children and their parents. Furthermore, the educational benefits are apparent to local
schools and the general community.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Northstead Comrnunity Pre-S¢hool is an unincorporated Associatr'on and it5 trustees are elected in commirtee
meetires. The committee consist5 of a chair. secretary and treasurer with between two and nine additional
elected ￿embers. Paid comrnittee members, if any, cannot vote. The charity's registered number and registered
address is included on pa8e l of the financial statements.
REVIEW OF THE DEVELOPMENT, ACTivmES AP4D ACHievEMENT5
During the period, the charity has continued to provide a day nursery and pre-school playgroup to local children
under 5th001 age.
OVERALL FINANCIAL POSITION
The detail of the Receipts and Payment5 lof the period can be found on page four. The overall operating deficit
for the period wa5 £3.511. Further detail of the overall income and expenditure tO8ether with the statement of
