Financial Review
Going Concern
In 2024, Donations through the direct mailings have reduced further and represented 80% of the income to the
charity. We also observed a 15% reduction in the number of donor5 and 30% reduttion in total donations in 2024.
This decrease is expected due to the ageing of the donor database and difficult financial times experienced in the
UK.
Fundraising via events managed by the ￿￿tre and external fundraisers has increased to compensate for the
decreased donations from the mailings. The centre also increased rts activities and is 5UPPOrting close to 80
individuals compared to 40 a couple of years ago.

that a charity can pursue. The most successful over the years is to develop a database of committed donors who

3. Critical accounting estimates and areas of judgment
Estimates and judgments are continually evaluated and are based on historical experience and other factors,
including expectations of future event5 that are believed to be reasonable under the circumstances.
Critical accounting estimates and 3ssumptions:
The charity makes estimates and assumptions concerning the future. The resulting accounting estimates and
assumptions will, by definition, seldom equal the related actual results. The estimates and assumptions that have
a significant risk of causing a material adjustTnent to the carrying amount5 of assets and liabilities wtthin the next
financial year are discussed below.
Useful economic lives of tangible assets
The annual depreciation charge for tangible assets is sensittve to changes in the estimated useful economic lives
and residual values of the assets. The usefijl economic lives and residual values are re- 25sessed annually. They are
amended when necessary to reflect current estimates. based on technological advancement, future investments,
economic utilisation, and the physical condition of the assets. See note 17 for the carrying amount of the tangible
assets and note 2 for the useful economic lives for each class of assets.
