THE m￿ls TRusr STATEMENT OF TRusfEES RESPONSIBILrriES Law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare receipts and payments accounts and statement of assets and liabilities for each financial year, which properly present the charity's receipts and payments for the year together with its assets and liabilities at the end of the year. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose, with reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the charity and which enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice and the regulation5 made under Section 154 of the Charities Act 2011. These financial statements are prepared in accordance WTth the charitys trust deed and the recommendations of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice and comply wth applicable law. 1. Structure Govemance and Mana ement The charity is under the govemance of its Trustees, as set out on page 1 of the Financial Statements. The day to day management of the charity is undertaken by the Trustees. 2. Ob ectives and Activities To support general charitable purposes and voluntary bodies by making grants to organisations for the public benefit. When planning the activities for the year, the trustees have considered the Commission's guidance on public benefit. 3. Achievements and Perfomiance The charity achieved it5 objectives during the year as set out above. 4. Financial Review Income received from investments has continued to support charities and beneficiarie5 through the aid of grant5. INDEPENDENT EXAMINER5 REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE m￿15 TRUST I report to the trustees on my examination of the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 st August 2023 which are set out on pages 5 to 6. Res nsibilities and Basis of Re As the trustees of the charity you are reswnsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act.). I report in respect of my examinatTon of the charitys financial statements carried out under Section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145151{bl of the 2011 Act. Inde ndent Examinefs Statement I have completed rny examination. I can confim that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: (a) accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity required by Section 130 of the {bl the financial statements do not accord with those records.
