STATEMENT OF TRu￿E￿5 RESPONSIBILITIES
Law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare receipts and
payments accounts and statement of assets and liabilitie5 for each financial year, which properly
present the charity's receipts and payments for the year together with its assets and liabilities at
the end of the year.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose, with
reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the charity and which enable them to
ensure that the financial statements comply with Accounting and Reporting by Charities-
Statement of Recommended Practice and the regulations made under Section 154 of the
Charities Act 2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and
hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregularities.

The trustees present their report and the financial statements of the charity for the year ended
31st August 2022.
These financial statements are prepared in accordance with the charitrfs trust deed and the
recommendations of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice
and comply with applicable law.
1. Structure Governance and Mana
ement
The charity is under the governance of its Trustees, as set out on page 1 of the Financial
Statements. The day to day management of the charity is undertaken by the Trustees.
2. Ob ectives and Activities
To support general charitable purposes and voluntary bodies by making grants to organisations
for the public benefit.
When planning the activities for the year, the trustees have considered the Commission's
guidance on public benefit.
3. Achievements and Performance
The charity achieved its objectives during the year a5 set out above.
4. Financial Review
Income received from investments has continued to supwrt charities and beneficiaries through
the aid of grants.

TO THE TRUSTEES
OF THE MEtIS TRUST
I report to the trustees on my examination of the financial statements of the charity for the year
ended 31st August 2022 which are set ￿t on page5 5 to 6.

As the trtjstees of the charTty you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements
in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'the Act.).
I report in respect of my examination of the charitys financial statements carried out under
Section 145 of the 201.1 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the
applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5}{bl of the 2011 Act.

I have completed my examination. I can confirm that no material matters have come to my
attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material
respect:

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters Tn connection with the examination
to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of
the financial statements to be reached.
