THE METIS TRU rATEME[ OF TRUSTEES RESPONSIBILITIES Law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare receipts and payments accounts and statement of assets and liabilities for each financial year, which properly present the charity's receipts and payments for the year together with its assets and liabilities at the end of the year. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which dTsc105e, with reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the charity and which enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice and the regulations made under Section 154 of the Charities Act 2011. These financial statements are prepared in accordance with the charity's trust deed and the recornmendations of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice and comply with applicable law. 1. INDEPENDE EXAAIINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE mls TRUST I report to the trustees on my examination of the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 315t August 2021 which are set out on page5 5 to 6. nsibilities and Basis of Re As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act.). I report in respect of my examination of the charity's financial statement5 carried out under Section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145151(b) ol the 2011 Act.
