We made hlslory in 2021 wh8n our complaint lo the Office for Environmenlal Proleclion led to Ihe announc8menl of Ils
rir81-ever invésligallon Into the règulalion of combined sewer ovefflows {CSOs) by Ihg EA, Ofwal and Defra. Threa years
on, In December 2024, 11)e OEP upheld our ¢omplalnt. It has Issued fofm81 Declslon Nollces to each ol lh8 Envlronmonl
Agency, OFWAT and Defra, Concluding ihal Ihey have broken Ihè law on s8wage pollution, as WildFlsh said Ih8y had
been, and requirlng them oach to spell out wllhln 2 monlhs how they wll now comply wllh th8 law.
