The policy of the Charitable Trust to be the provision of additional finance in order that its objects

Stated above might be further achieved.

## **Objectives for the year:**

Our plans for the next financial year primarily include the continuing function of the church and its associated activities. We have secured planning permission for our extension and are actively fundraising to enable construction of this much needed space to commence.

## **DEVELOPMENT, ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS**

- The trustees consider that the performance of the charity this period has been

- most satisfactory.

- The trust would not be able to provide such a wide service to our

- beneficiaries without the continued support of a large number of willing members.

- The Charity continues to provide the main objectives of providing and

- maintaining a place of worship, residence for the priest and the collection of memberships and donations as well as the running cost of maintaining the Church.

- This year has been most unusual with the Covid lockdown taking our

- building out of action for the first three months of the year. However, worship services and meetings continued in an on-line format and, subsequently, services in church continued on a less frequent basis and with severely restricted numbers.

- The Sunday School moved its operations to an online format but, despite

- this, continues to flourish with new members joining during the year.

- The weekly online prayer group for Primary and Secondary ages continued as

- normal

- The Ladies Group and Men’s Group still meet regularly online to pray and

- study the Bible together.

- The Youth Bible Study group and an Apologetics Group continued to meet

- virtually

With the faithful support of our congregation, we are hoping to commence works on our extension during Summer 2021. Other works this year have been restricted to minor routine maintenance and provisions to make the building suitable for use during the pandemic.

We continue to maintain the church grounds and graveyard through the assistance of a gardener who attend to the grounds regularly. We have hired the services of a gardening contractor who worked on weeding the west side of the priest house and laid gravel in this area.

## **Arrangements during the Covid-19 Pandemic:**

On the 23[rd] of March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and as per government regulations, we sadly closed the Church for worship. Prior to closure, we had put some measures to minimise the risk of transmission by limiting the number of worshipers per Mass, spacing the pews, stopping gathering after Mass and using disposable equipment.

The Church continued to provide necessary services as funerals during the lockdown period whilst complying with the regulations.

We have made use of Microsoft Teams as way of communicating between the congregation and our priest which has been successfully implemented. We continue to hold our weekly Sunday School, Youth meetings, Ladies and Men Prayer Groups, Bible Studies for Primary, Secondary and Youth online using Microsoft Teams.

During lockdown, we have managed to increase our Sunday School service to enable a daily activity including a “Pray and Play Club”, and a “Saints Corner”. This has kept our young people constantly occupied during lockdown and has enabled daily contact to ensure they feel less isolated.

We also hold a whole church weekly meeting online with Father Abanoub.

The use of online meeting platforms has ensured the continuation of our activities during this very difficult time and has provided much needed support to everyone in our congregation.

## **FINANCIAL REVIEW**
