A time bank is an exciting way for people to come together to help others and help themselves at the same time. Participants 'deposit' their time in the bank by giving practical help and support to others and are able to 'withdraw' their time when they need something done themselves.

Objects: A) The Relief Of Poverty, Sickness, And Distress For The Particular, But Not Exclusive, Benefit Of The Community Of Chesterfield And The Surrounding Area;b) The Advancement Of Education And Training Of The Communities By Means Of Encouraging And Promoting The Practice Of "trading Time" Within The United Kingdom, Particularly For Those Persons Who Are Disadvantaged And Vulnerable, Such As, Young Persons, The Aged And The Unemployed And Who Are In Need Of Such Community Initiatives And Support;c) To Develop The Capacity And Skills Of The Members Of Socially And Economically Disadvantaged Communities For The Benefit Of The Public In Such A Way That They Are Better Able To Identify, And Help Meet, Their Needs And To Participate More Fully In Society;
